Birthdays

There were a couple of birthdays since last month - a 43rd and 36th but who's counting?

December Post

Jonas had his first cavity fillings at a recent dentist checkup. They're on baby teeth so not to worry too much. He handled the procedure courageously. He is excelling in Grade 2, passed his latest spelling test and is learning a lot of yo-yo tricks. He is one of the top three players on his soccer team and has scored or set up a good number of goals this year. Tuesday night is Select Academy, Thursday night practices and Saturday games. We supplement his development with an occassional skate, and/or stick and pick. Is Ice Hockey in our future? Only if there were more hours in the day. Nadia is enjoying Kindergarten and soccer too. She, like Jonas, is "goal oriented" and can dribble and kick with both feet. Along with soccer, Dance Class at Shadbolt Center continues with Mr. Trevor. November

We're now into November. Last month Jonas and Nadia completed a session of swimming lessons. Nadia has graduated from Salamander to Sunfish, Jonas to Swim Kids 4. Last time we went together he swam an entire 25m length on his back with no assistance!  Lessons are on hold right now as we concentrate on school and soccer. Jonas learned how to consistently tie his shoe laces around April and can now tie double knots - important for soccer. Nadia enjoys playing soccer and being with her teammates, practicing and scoring goals. Her writing skills are improving, as well as her drawing and math. She likes her teacher Ms. Delore and considers her classmate Caillie her "BFF". She is becoming more involved with chores and like Mom enjoys baking in the kitchen. Dance at Shadbolt Centre continues - which she really enjoys! Jonas has joined the yo-yo club at school. His teacher Mr. McKay is an expert and Jonas likes practicing his tricks at home. We let him play on the guitar the
