November

We're now into November. Last month Jonas and Nadia completed a session of swimming lessons. Nadia has graduated from Salamander to Sunfish, Jonas to Swim Kids 4. Last time we went together he swam an entire 25m length on his back with no assistance!  Lessons are on hold right now as we concentrate on school and soccer. Jonas learned how to consistently tie his shoe laces around April and can now tie double knots - important for soccer.

Nadia enjoys playing soccer and being with her teammates, practicing and scoring goals. Her writing skills are improving, as well as her drawing and math. She likes her teacher Ms. Delore and considers her classmate Caillie her "BFF". She is becoming more involved with chores and like Mom enjoys baking in the kitchen. Dance at Shadbolt Centre continues - which she really enjoys!

Jonas has joined the yo-yo club at school. His teacher Mr. McKay is an expert and Jonas likes practicing his tricks at home. We let him play on the guitar the other day and he expressed interest in taking up lessons. He was selected to join the Cliff Avenue U8 Boys Soccer Academy Tuesday nights. Teammates Riley and Mario are there as well - the three identified as some of best Cliff Ave. players in his age group. The last two Saturday league games have been rained out but we still manage to get Thursday night practices in. Jonas has at least 2 goals in the 5 games we played and is showing a high level of skill and ability all over the field. At home he's doing more and more - reading to Nadia, helping with chores, emptying the dishwasher, and showering himself - no help needed!
