Spring Break

As we head into spring break there's so many things to reflect on. Tux has grown so much since first arriving - he's about half what will be his full body weight. He's learned to do his business outside mostly and is learning how to sit and even shake-a-paw! Nadia started effectively reading out loud and writing legibly around January 4th. Now she writes small stories, loves to count and spell, say mature and funny things. She talks and acts a lot like her mother which is very cute! Jonas and her are both progressing well in Grade 2 and Kindergarten respectively. Excepts from recent report cards: "Jonas is welcoming, friendly, kind and helpful...dependable and will take on extra duties in the classroom...continues to work hard in class and complete work on time." "Nadia is happy, competent, well-liked student, cheerful, polite, respectful, shows curiosity and enthusiasm...delightful to work with. Well done Nadia!" Upon completion of her first season she and her team all received a soccer medal, and Jonas finished his soccer season as one of the top players with about 8 goals. These accomplishments were celebrated at end-of-the-year parties. Jonas has passed Swim Kids 4 being able to swim 25 meters unassisted and Nadia continues to shine dance class! We've been fortunate to take a couple of Canucks games too. Jonas got a new bike - a Trek just like Dad's. Thanks to the Pivas. A lot more fun to come with Spring approaching. Blessings abound.
