Elkhorn

This year's boys trip took us to Elkhorn Mountain in Strathcona Park, the second tallest peak on Vancouver Island. Strathcona is where Mt. Tom Taylor and Kings Peak are - trips from previous years. Poor weather, primarily, kept us off the peak but we did make it to 5,700ft (1,700m) about 1,500 ft short of the 7,200 ft summit. Unfinished business? Still, it was an enjoyable hike, with great food, companionship, and a Sunday morning side trip to picturesque Landslide Lake.

Jonas had many "firsts"in his 6th month of life, he's growing up way too fast! Where do we start.......we had our first rolling over back to front and then front to back, our first plane ride, our first tooth, first Giants hockey game with the Pereira's (which both Jonas and Daniel lasted through all 3 periods) and our first Super Bowl!
